Bhubaneswar: On Wednesday, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan commenced a two-day visit to Odisha, where he is set to engage in various activities.
Chouhan, who holds the portfolios of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare as well as Rural Development, was welcomed by KV Singh Deo, the Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha, along with BJP state president Manmohan Samal and other prominent leaders.
As part of his itinerary, Chouhan is scheduled to launch the ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ in Puri on Thursday, followed by a session with women farmers at the Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (CIFA) in Bhubaneswar.
Later in the day, he will take part in the Regional Mango Diversity Show at the Central Horticultural Experiment Station and will conclude his visit with a program at the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology.
